Learning outcomes
On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:
1.
Identify and communicate an understanding of the legal roles and responsibilities of individuals, governments and businesses in addressing climate change and selected sustainability topics;
2.
Analyse and critically evaluate key concepts relating to climate change and sustainability from a legal perspective;
3.
Apply and communicate an understanding and technical knowledge of key legal instruments, legislation and case law in relation to climate change and selected sustainability topics, including to develop solutions to complex problems;
4.
Critically evaluate key legal instruments, legislation and case law in relation to climate change and selected sustainability topics and identify potential areas for reform; and
5.
Develop theoretical knowledge in relation to policy considerations and conflicts underlying legal issues relating to climate change and selected sustainability topics.
6.
Work collaboratively with others in an inclusive manner in relation to legal issues relating to climate change and selected sustainability topics.
